They often went to town and looked at the shops.

Mary wanted to buy a guitar. But she could not buy one because they were

expensive.

One day she saw a guitar at the market. « How much is that guitar, please? »

she asked the man. « Ten pounds », the man answered . Mary put  her hand

in her pocket and gave the man her two pounds. « I’ve got only two pounds »,

she said.

The man was very nice. He gave her the guitar for two pounds.

Mary was very happy.
